At a short distance from town there is a cruise ship dock, where tourists disembark to do local excursions. Close to the dock there is a water park, The Lost Mayan Kingdom, with waterslides and ziplines. The outstanding Chacchoben Mayan ruins are located some 65 km (40.4 miles) away.
